At Peacocke & Simpson, we place emphasis on gravity recovery. In addition to being more environmentally friendly and sustainable, gravity recovery is also more economical than applying costly chemistry to the mineral recovery process. As such, Peacocke & Simpson is committed to the environment and to helping our valued clients achieve higher yields at less cost.

chemical recovery

When chemical recovery is necessary, we pride ourselves in having state of the art equipment and expertise to conduct leaching, flotation and other chemical testing and process testing procedures to the highest quality. This is either done independently, in comparison with gravity recovery, or as a peripheral or downstream process with gravity recovery, depending on the needs of each individual client.

equipment

We are proudly associated with FLSmidth (Knelson Technologies) – acknowledged world leader in enhanced gravity recovery equipment – and provide valuable R&D services to the company, in addition to being the trusted testwork partner of APT (Appropriate Process Technologies), ConSep and Rocklabs.

enhancement

Peacocke & Simpson is committed to the continuous enhancement of mineral processing solutions and the development of the mining industry not only in Africa, but throughout the world.

Thanks to P&S for a job well done on the Singida metallurgical testwork program. Shanta can now move forward on the BFS with a great deal of confidence, knowing that the gravity and leach test work have been completed in both a comprehensive and professional manner.

Wally Channon, Technical Manager, Shanta Gold

I always contact Pete (of Peacocke & Simpson) when I encounter a problem with gravity or intensive leach because (1) he has a lot of experience and strong technical ability, (2) he is always able to point us in the right direction, (3) he genuinely cares about the equipment, its operability and maintenance, and (4) he is the best equipment service provider of any that I have encountered.

Karen Tempel, Chief Metallurgist, Newmont Mining Corporation

Peacocke & Simpson provide outstanding technical input into identifying opportunities for optimizing gold recoveries in our business. Their ability to understand the challenges in developing world environments and to provide workable solutions was outstanding.

Mike Marriott, CEO, DRD Gold

At Buzwagi Mine, we have been impressed by the quality of service and dedication demonstrated by our gravity equipment vendors. They have been totally committed to getting the gravity equipment commissioned in a timely manner. Successful commissioning of the Knelson Concentrators and ACACIA Reactor has ensured our first gold production is on schedule.

Julie Shuttleworth, Process Manager, Barrick Gold

The KC 48 Concentrator installed on one of our operations has resulted in a three fold increase in gravity gold recovery, which has translated to a 3% increase in overall plant recovery. We are so happy with the performance of the KC 48, and plans for the purchase of another unit for our second biggest operation are at an advanced stage.

Ken Mekani, Group Metallurgical Manager, Metallon Gold

Mr Pete Simpson was assigned by Consep for the final stage of our Acacia Reactor CS250 installation and commissioning. With him by our side, everything went smooth and easy, not only does he know his thing but he has a great facility to transmit his knowledge. After the commissioning, he was available to give us advice, always with a smile. We sure will use the services of P&S in the future, they already did our EGRG tests in 2014 which led to this Knelson/Acacia installation… Many thanks Pete!
