Peacocke & Simpson recently produced full mineral testwork results in less than 10 working days – achieving the impossible, and helping our client, Senet Projects, stay on schedule. All laboratory testwork, for five samples, was conducted within six working days, and included:

A single EGRG test typically takes Peacocke & Simpson three weeks, and competitors have often been heard of taking up to two months. This was no mean feat. Preliminary reports were released two days after the lab work concluded, with full testwork reports – including a circuit modelling report – being issued two days after that. This was one day ahead of schedule.

This momentous achievement highlights two of Peacocke & Simpson’s core values: superior customer service at all times, and teamwork. The P&S team couldn’t be prouder of this result, and are pleased to have played an integral role in keeping Senet’s project on schedule.

How did this happen?

Truck delays: fastest mineral testworkThe mineral samples were sent from a gold mine in Guinea to Johannesburg, from where they were forwarded on to Peacocke & Simpson (in Harare, Zimbabwe). Shipping delays and a hold-up and the border resulted in the samples arriving four weeks behind schedule, late one Friday afternoon.

The time-sensitive nature of the project, and Peacocke & Simpson’s dedication to client satisfaction, saw the P&S team working through the weekends and racking up overtime hours to not only meet – but beat – the original testwork deadline. In over 30 years, not a single team member has ever seen mineral testwork turned around quite so quickly. One might venture as far as saying this was likely a world first for speed of execution.

It’s important to note that the speed with which the testwork results were delivered did not compromise the quality or accuracy of the results and outcomes.

Conclusion

The Peacocke & Simpson team takes great pride in setting the bar for mineral testwork turnaround. Despite matters out of their control, the P&S team move heaven and (more importantly) earth to help clients meet their deadlines – because client satisfaction comes above all else.

Operating out of Zimbabwe comes with logistical challenges in itself. However, this example proves that transport or distance issues are no match for dedication and teamwork. Peacocke & Simpson’s competitive price structure and faster turnaround times makes it a best-choice for any mine or project company, regardless of country or curve-balls.
