Peter Simpson of Peacocke & Simpson recently conducted a six-month post-commissioning health check at Roxgold’s Yaramoko Mine in Burkina Faso, which operates two KC-XD20 FLSmidth Knelson Concentrators and a CS500 Consep Acacia Reactor in a gold recovery circuit.

The complete gravity recovery package, which also includes two SDS386 scalping screens, was supplied by FLSmidth Knelson and Consep, and commissioned by Peter in May 2016. Since commissioning, the Yaramoko gold plant has run almost trouble-free, with overall gold recovery levels typically in excess of 98%, of which about 60% is attributable to the gravity recovery circuit. Feed grade is approximately 15g of gold per ton, with plant residues of less than 0.3g/t gold.

This outstanding performance is a result of top quality equipment and personnel. Rarely has P&S visited a site as well maintained and operated as Yaramoko. We congratulate Roxgold and echo their motto: “Best in Class”.
